Under European legislation (EC 261), you may be eligible for compensation if your flight has been disrupted. You could receive up to \$650 (€600) per passenger, regardless of your ticket price.

Depending on the route and airline, claims may also be valid under:

  • Montreal Convention – Covers international flights in cases of flight disruptions, baggage issues, and more.
  • UK Legislation – Similar to EU 261, applicable to flights departing from or arriving in the UK.
  • Brazilian ANAC Regulation – Protects passengers flying within, from, or to Brazil.
  • Turkey’s Aviation Passenger Rights – Offers protections similar to EU 261 for flights involving Turkey.
  • Saudi Arabian GACA Regulations – Ensures passenger rights for flights to and from Saudi Arabia.
  • And more to come as regulations evolve worldwide.

We believe in fair compensation, which is why Compass Point Assist works on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis. That means you only pay a service fee if your claim is successful. Fees are fixed and depend on the type of claim.

  • If your flight was significantly delayed, you may be entitled to a ticket refund if you choose not to travel.
  • US passengers flying to or from Europe on a European airline may also be covered under EC 261.
  • While US law does not mandate monetary compensation for flight delays, many airlines offer travel vouchers, hotel accommodations, or meals.
